Is Switchfoot A Christian Band?

For many years, those who follow the Christian music scene have speculated whether or not Switchfoot is a Christian band. They began their career with that "label", but once they achieved mainstream success they seemed to want to distant themselves from that "box". Even today you can hear this song played at weddings, funerals, sporting events and even a lot of places where you would not expect a Christian song to be played.

If only more of today's Christian artists wrote songs that contained such insight and originality.....
