And that is a shame, because he put out some really outstanding music.

Perhaps the song that he is best known for is "People Need The Lord" - a stirring anthem that reminds us that everyone need to find salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This song was so popular that it helped Green win his first Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year.
