Lifehouse is the same way. They are Christians and much of their music contains Christian references although they do not identify themselves as a “christian” group. When The Afters first came out they were also the same way, although they have remedied that with the release of the “Light Up The Sky” album. In response to Tom’s comment, however, if they are doing it for the LORD then they need to have a solid stance that says, “We will not make music with worldly standards just to sell records.” While I believe these bands have done that, not all supposed “Christian” groups out there have.

Who cares whether or not you can label their music as “Christian music” or the band as a “Christian band.” If they are doing it for the Lord (and he knows their hearts) then all is cool. Daniel Minteer is in the same category. His music may be labeled “Christian music” but it seems kind of out there (for example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6iCrFVU9Uk or Spoiked on YouTube).
